Kristie Hees

Mrs. Kristie Hees joins the GCA team as the Learning Center Director. Mrs. Hees has worked in both public and private Christian school settings, most recently serving as the Berean Christian School SOAR program reading specialist and SOAR Director. Mrs. Hees also took the lead in the creation of the Lakeway Christian Academy Learning Center where she served as director.

Learning Center Director K-12

 

What do you love most so far about GCA?  What led you to become a faculty or staff member at GCA? I love the community and relationships I have made in just a couple of weeks. They have made it feel like I have always been here. I have always wanted to work at GCA. It’s been my prayer for many years.

 

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to your role?

I am Orton Gillingham certified.  I love helping students learning to read and building confidence through this approach.

 

How will you incorporate a Christian worldview into your classroom? 

I always start with a devotion or asking my students how I can pray for them when we meet. I want them to know that God loves them and grow their relationship with him.

 

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

I want them to know that I am proud of them in all that they do. I love to watch my students find their talents in and out of the classroom.

 

What are you most excited about in this new school year?

I am most excited about meeting new families and building new relationships at GCA.
