Justin West, Class of 2019

Justin West, Class of 2019

"Christian education gave me the unique opportunity to grow and mature as a believer in Christ through both the teaching in the classrooms and the relationships that were built in them."

Are you currently in school?  Which degree(s) are you pursuing and from which school?

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry as an online student at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY.

Are you working professionally during college?

I am not currently working professionally, but I hope to be in the near future!  I have been volunteering with the Grace56 ministry as a small group leader while also being blessed with the opportunity to teach every once in awhile.

It’s been such a joy getting to work and interact with all of the incredible 5th and 6th graders in that ministry!

What are your future plans?

My future plans include graduating from college with my bachelor’s degree in ministry, pursuing a master’s degree, and eventually seeking a ministry position in a local church.

When you look back to your time at GCA, how did it create a strong foundation for your college experience?

GCA prepared me for my college studies through the theological, intellectual, relational, and practical lessons that I learned in my fourteen years as a student there. I truly believe that GCA gave me all the tools I could have possibly needed to succeed in world of college education and beyond.

How did Christian education impact your life and your worldview?

Christian education gave me the unique opportunity to grow and mature as a believer in Christ through both the teaching in the classrooms and the relationships that were built in them. Many lessons that I learned at GCA still hold true to this day.

What is one of your favorite experiences since graduation from GCA?

One of my favorite experiences since graduating has been getting to see my peers and fellow graduates go out into the world to the places in which the Lord has called them to be!
