The GCA Band held it's Winter Band Concert, titled "The Cool Carols of Christmas" on Tuesday, January 26. The rescheduled program delighted a great audience of family members and friends who were carefully distanced to ensure a safe environment.
GCA Band Director, Joe Perrock, commented on the great performance by the group. “I am continually delighted with our band students and this year’s winter concert was no exception. I challenged the jazz band, which is mostly 2nd and 3rd year students, with some challenging arrangements and they delivered. In addition to the jazz band, one of the highlights for the crowd was the percussion ensemble featuring a variety of instruments including bowed bells, vibraphone, and an amazing vocal solo. But the clear treat for most is the beginner band performing for the first time in public.
We are very proud of this group, and the GCA community may look forward to an even more developed group of musicians this spring at the Night of the Arts.”
