GCA varsity player Benjamin Francisco was chosen to wear the #24 on his jersey this season in memory of GCA graduate, Will McKamey, Class of 2013. Will is remembered as a stellar student, talented athlete, but most importantly, a young man who demonstrated a relationship with Jesus Christ in his daily life.
William Dean McKamey played football from 2009-2013 at Grace Christian Academy. Following graduation and after being recruited, Will attended the Naval Academy on a full football scholarship. After sustaining a head injury, Will passed away on March 25, 2014, and went to his heavenly home.
In the months and years since, Will's life and faith in Jesus Christ have continued to impact countless lives on a local and national level. We're so thankful for the opportunity to remember him through this distinction in the football program he was so passionate about.
