Grace Christian Academy is pleased to announce veteran high school football coaches Justin and Matt Price have been hired to lead the Rams football program.

Justin, a 2001, Class 3A Mr. Football winner, All-State quarterback, and 2013 District 3-AAA Coach of the Year will be named Head Coach and Assistant Athletic Director, while his twin brother Matt, 2016 Region 3-5A Defensive Assistant of the Year will be named Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and Associate Athletic Director.

Justin and Matt both played collegiate football at Maryville College where Justin was named to the 2nd Team USA South All-Conference team and selected to the USA South’s 50th Anniversary football team.

The two, originally from Jacksboro, went to school at Anderson County High School, where they spent their early coaching years and were part of the Mavericks’ success in reaching the 5A quarterfinals two years in a row.

The Price brothers have spent the last 13 seasons at Campbell County High School and have been the winningest coaches in school history leading the Cougars to five playoff appearances in their first seven seasons since taking over the program. Their teams have scored the most points and gained the most yards in a season in school history, with 425 points scored in 12 games, an average of 35 points per game, and gaining 4,678 yards in a season.

“The Price brothers have been building football teams for years and work to get the most out of each individual student-athlete," said Marcus Dilligard, Grace Christian Academy Athletic Director. "More importantly, they also excel in building character, resilience, and a strong work ethic in their players. They will not be outworked, and the Grace Christian Academy football team is in excellent hands.”

“We are excited to join a school that is Christ-centered and is working to reflect who Christ is. As a believer, a dad, and a coach, it is a place that I wanted to be a part of. We are excited about the vision at GCA and look forward to building upon the foundation that is in place in the GCA football program.” Justin Price said.
