G.R.E.A.T. Team Goes "Red for Heart Health"

Because February is "Go Red for Heart Health", the Grace Rams Emergency Activation (G.R.E.A.T.) Team celebrated our distinction as the first school in the region to have been recognized as a "Heart Safe School" in 2019 by gathering for a photo op and wearing red!

GCA was pleased to have been named as the the first school in the region to be recognized as a "Heart Safe School" by East Tennessee Children's Hospital.  Hours of training sessions and observations came to fruition when GCA met the requirements for this distinction in 2019 and we're so proud of the team members who have devoted their time to this effort.

GCA staff members on the GREAT Team keep their emergency response skills up to date through routine drills on campus.  We're so thankful for GCA nurse, Mrs. Amy Smith, whose leadership was influential in this great accomplishment for our students and overall campus safety.

The G.R.E.A.T. Team is led by school nurse, Amy Smith, and team members include Amanda Ballard, Johnny Bracewell, Isaac Brooks, Linda Comfort, Rick Frazier, Layla Fulks, Rayanne Gregory, Amy Henderson, Kristina Kenny, Rachel Hannon, Allison Lay, Trista McReynolds, Shawn Mehegan, Karen Owen, Tony Pointer, Jill Schwahn, and Julie West.

Thank you to school nurse, Amy Smith, for her leadership in this important achievement and these faculty and staff members who have committed their time to this critical endeavor!
