GCA Competes at Region with Baker Claiming Region Title in 100M & 300M Hurdles

The track and field team had several strong finishes in the East Region track and field meet last week.  After another stellar performance, sophomore Bri Baker will move on to compete at the state level.

Sophomore Bri Baker claimed the region title in both hurdle events - the 100M hurdles and the 300M hurdles at the Division II A East Region track meet last week.  Her finishes earned her a spot to compete at the Track and Field State Championship Meet on Wednesday, May 26 at Rockvale High School.

Other top ten finishers at the Region meet for the Rams/Lady Rams included:

Boys 200M: Dalton Brown - 8th, Bobby Lewis - 9th

Boys 400M: Dalton Brown - 4th

Boys 800M: Luke Molitor - 8th

Boys 1600M: Reilly Mehegan - 4th

Boys 3200M: Reilly Mehegan - 3rd

Boys Discus: Garrett Staley - 6th, Riley Burnette - 7th

Boys Shot Put: Garrett Staley - 8th

Girls 400M: Alyssa Johnson - 3rd

Girls 3200M: Maria Hawkins - 8th, Sophia Nuzzolo - 9th

Girls 4x400M Relay: Bri Baker, Maria Hawkins, Alyssa Johnson & Laiken White - 3rd

Girls Long Jump: Alyssa Johnson - 3rd

Girls Discus - Laiken White - 4th

Girls Shot Put - Laiken White - 4th
