GCA Hosts STEM Camp

In June, 73 students, from 16 schools, in grades K-6, participated in STEM camp.  This weeklong summer adventure provides opportunities for fun, open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more. 

“I am eager for the fall as GCA will invest in more STEM education resources.  We are adding a new K-8 STEM teacher and lab for students and look forward to seeing how God uses this role to expand our students thinking and problem solving abilities.” Amy Henderson K-8 principal said.

Brent Walsh Named US Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Athletics Director

Grace Christian Academy is pleased to announce the 2007 and 2008 South Carolina High School Coach of the Year, Brent Walsh, as the Upper School Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Director of Athletics.  Coach Walsh, with almost 20 years in coaching, has extensive college experience at College of Charleston and UNC Asheville.

Help us welcome Coach Walsh, his wife Jenny, and their three children, Gideon (10), Eden (7), Simeon (4).

Marcus Dilligard New Director of Athletics

GCA announces Marcus Gilligard as Director of Athletics. Marcus served as Director of Athletics for Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte, NC, and has 14 years of coaching, administrative, and teaching experience in Christian education. He holds state and national championship athletic titles and has worked with many student-athletes transitioning to college athletics in a variety of sports. Most recently while he obtained his master's of coaching, Marcus served as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for University of the Cumberlands, with the team earning their 9thconsecutive national tournament appearance.

Help us welcome Marcus, his wife Kristin, and two boys Aziah and Jeremyah.

2022 GCA Grad Noah Bruin Receives Scholarship

Congratulations to Noah Bruin, 2022 GCA graduate, for receiving a Rotary Club of Knoxville Scholarship.  Noah was one of three students to be awarded a $20,000 scholarship. He is pictured with Rotary Club Scholarship Chair, Jennifer Sepaniak.  Noah plans to attend UT Knoxville in the fall and major in Kinesiology and minor in Communications.
