Mr. Comfort was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame of Northwestern High School, Kokomo, Indiana (his HS alma mater) on Friday, March 13. As a high school athlete, Mr. Comfort excelled in both football and wrestling, including being the only wrestler in Northwestern’s history to win a Semi-State Championship (the third and final level of qualification for the State Tournament).
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Comfort (pictured here with his high school wrestling coach Mr. Gene Sharp) commented that “I am being honored only because others had invested their time and talents in me.” Now, Mr. Comfort invests his time and talents in his students and wrestlers at GCA. We're so thankful for his dedication and influence in the lives of our students!
