Four spring sports teams are in the midst of region competitions.
Softball and boys soccer both clenched wins over the weekend which advanced each team in their region tournaments but also secured them a spot in the first-round of the TSSAA state tournament.
Softball defeated Boyd Buchanan 9-1. Softball will host Silverdale on Monday night.
Boys soccer defeated St. Andrew's-Sewanne School 3-1. The score was still locked at 0-0 at halftime. Scores in the second half came from Lucas Hollifield (assist Hayden Shepherd), Ian Startup, and Devan Coffey (assist I. Startup). The soccer team travels to Webb on Tuesday.
Both the girls and boys tennis teams will be competing in team regions this week. The girls travel to Chattanooga on Monday to face Notre Dame while the boys play host to Collegedale on Tuesday.
Track and field will compete in the region meet this week as well. On Tuesday, the field events and 3200 will compete at CAK. On Thursday, all other running events will be held, also at CAK.

The boys and girls tennis teams fell to The Kings Academy but bounce back for wins over Oak Ridge and Clayton Bradley.
April 9: Rams and Lady Rams tennis teams took a hard loss against The Kings Academy. The boys fell 3-4 and girls fell 2-5. Cole Siems was a singles and doubles winner and 8th graders Caroline Mabe and Sydney Farmer remain undefeated in doubles play.
April 12: Lady Rams win 8-1 over Oak Ridge. Rams came so close falling 4-5. Doubles partners Cole Siems and Josh Williams and Caroline Mabe and Sydney Farmer continue to be a force for GCA.
April 13: GCA boys and girls win big over Clayton Bradley High School. Boys win 8-1 while girls sweep 9-0.
- Varsity Tennis
The girls and boys tennis teams have been in action and enjoying hosting home matches on the "new" courts.
The girls team is currently 5-1 on the season with wins over Maryville, Concord Christian, Gatlinburg Pittman, Bearden and Clinton. Their only loss was to Farragut. There are two doubles teams who remain undefeated: Anna Claire Moss and Chloe Huskey combine for one team while 8th graders Caroline Mabe and Sydney Farmer make up the other.
The boys team is currently 2-4 with wins over Concord Christian and Clinton. Their losses have come against Farragut, Maryville, Gatlinburg Pittman and Bearden. The doubles team of Cole Siems and Josh Williams are performing well with only one loss at the hands of Bearden.
Tennis teams return to action at home on Friday as they host The King's Academy.

The boys and girls tennis teams played the first upper school match to be played on the new tennis courts.
The boys and girls tennis teams hosted Halls High School for a scrimmage on Tuesday. The boys team won 9-0 and the girls team won 7-2.
