Congratulations to the Lady Rams Softball team! They defeated Trinity Christian 7-0 in the first round of the State Tournament and move on to the Quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 18. The Lady Rams will travel west again to play host Donelson Christian Academy on Wednesday. This will be a best 2 out of 3 game series. Two games will be played Wednesday night; if needed, the third and final game will be played on Thursday.

Lady Rams Named to "Players to Watch" 2022 List
Congratulations to Ella and Hailey Brooks, who were both named to the Knoxville News Sentinel "25 Players to Watch in 2022". Ella, a senior and Mars Hill signee, was selected for the all-state team in 2021 and finished with 64 runs and a batting average of .468.
Hailey, a sophomore, was also named to the all-state team last season, finishing with 51 runs and a batting average of .553 as a freshman. Congratulations to both of these talented players (and sisters)!

Congratulations to GCA Varsity Softball players, Hannah Cooper and Caitlin Dixon, who were named to the All 5Star Preps Softball First Team! Hannah and Caitlin just finished their senior season and graduated with the Class of 2021.
Players Ella and Hailey Brooks were both named to the All 5Star Preps Softball Second Team, and we're excited to see them continue playing for the Lady Rams this year!

The season may have finished, but our Lady Rams continue to receive recognition for their outstanding play this spring! Players Hannah Cooper and Caitlin Dixon were named to the All-State team (seen in first picture), and Hailey Brooks, Ella Brooks, Ella Malone and Caitlin Dixon were named All-Region.
Lady Rams, Hannah Cooper and Heather LaForce, were also named to the East Tennessee All Star roster. The games will be held on June 17 at Riverdale High School.

I know this team was a success, because success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming. And this team has done that. Even though they only played one game this year, it was obvious the work they had put in to prepare to make a run at a State Championship. They have been a pleasure to coach due to their outstanding work ethic and I wish our seniors the best as they graduate from GCA!
