Congratulations to the middle school boys' soccer team that capped off an impressive season in dramatic fashion, winning the Goal Soccer League gold bracket championship in a penalty kick shootout. Congratulations to our penalty kick goal scorers, Connor Gouge, Evan Mayfield, Zach Ellison, and Alex Jones, for their leadership in a tense environment as well as throughout the course of their time in the middle school soccer program. Also, a major shout out to first-year goalkeeper Cade Spetar, for sealing the win with two huge saves in the shootout. This young team avenged last year’s second-place finish in the bracket following a conclusion in a similar fashion also with a penalty kick shootout. Their hard work, effort, attitude, attention to detail, and passion to compete gave them the edge to overcome multiple obstacles this season.
