MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER CLINCHES CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to the middle school boys' soccer team that capped off an impressive season in dramatic fashion, winning the Goal Soccer League gold bracket championship in a penalty kick shootout. Congratulations to our penalty kick goal scorers, Connor Gouge, Evan Mayfield, Zach Ellison, and Alex Jones, for their leadership in a tense environment as well as throughout the course of their time in the middle school soccer program. Also, a major shout out to first-year goalkeeper Cade Spetar, for sealing the win with two huge saves in the shootout. This young team avenged last year’s second-place finish in the bracket following a conclusion in a similar fashion also with a penalty kick shootout. Their hard work, effort, attitude, attention to detail, and passion to compete gave them the edge to overcome multiple obstacles this season. Thank you so much to the fans, coaches, and parents for their sacrifices and support throughout the season.
