The GCA Middle School Boy’s and Girl’s Golf Teams have both had an incredibly successful season of growth and competition. Both teams will compete in the ETMSGA District Tournament on Tuesday, April 27 at Beaver Brook Golf and Country Club.
The girls team improved their individual scores by an average of 5 shots from the beginning of the season and their overall team score by 16 shots to enter post-season play. The boys team improved their individual scores by an average of 6 shots and their overall team score by 31.
"It's been amazing to see how much all of these kids have improved over such a short time," said Coach Mountain. "They are completely different golfers than when we started the season in February. The competition among this team for those starting spots has been fierce and they've really pushed each other to get better and better each time they step out on the course. But more than that it's been really cool to watch them become good friends and teammates. I'm really proud of each of them."
The Boy’s team finished the regular season with a record of 8-2 in match play and 13-2 against individual schools. Both teams will compete in the ETMSGA District Tournament on Tuesday, April 27 at Beaver Brook Golf and Country Club.
