The baseball team's 2021 season has come to an end.
The baseball Rams season came to a close on in Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon at the end of a 3 game series with Silverdale Baptist Academy.
Game 1: The Rams gave up 3 unearned runs and fell by a score of 1-3.
Game 2: The Rams offense exploded and the Rams won 9-1. Alex Blackburn and Blake Courson combined for the win on the mound. Offensively, Riley King had two doubles while Blackburn and Ian Setzer record one double each. Blackburn has 3 RBIs while Setzer and Eli Crowder each had 2 RBIs.
Game 3: Rams fell 3-7. The offense showed life late in the game scoring 2 runs in the 6th inning and 1 run in the 7th inning, but the early deficit was too much to overcome.
The Rams finished the season 9-19-1.

The Rams win to advance in the post-season.
The Rams travelled to Lakeway Christian Academy to take on the Lions in a district play-in game. After splitting the series with LCA during the regular season, the Rams secured a 7-0 victory. This win gave them the 4 seed in the district which earns them a trip to the region tournament.
The Rams will take on Silverdale Baptist Academy in a doubleheader in Chattanooga on Friday, May 7 in a best of 3 series. If Game 3 is necessary, they will play on Saturday.

The baseball team has finished their regular season district schedule and continues to play out-of-district games in order to grow and prepare for the district tournament.
The baseball Rams dropped two games in the Smoky Mountain Classic at Pigeon Forge High School.
April 9 - GCA 1, Pigeon Forge 9
April 10 - GCA 3, Alcoa 5
Returning to district play after the tournament, the Rams opened the Lakeway series with a win at home but dropped the second game on the road. This series completed their regular season district games.
April 12 - GCA 4, Lakeway Christian 2 - Aiden McCarley got the win and Blake Courson got the save. Alex Blackburn and Trevor Lawrence led the way offensively with two hits each.
April 13 - GCA 0, Lakeway Christian 5
Moving out of district, the Rams continue to face some tough opponents.
April 15 - GCA 0, Alcoa 6 - The Rams had opportunities in this game but left too many on base. Trevor Lawrence pitched in relief giving up only two hits, no runs, no walks and recorded two strike outs.
April 17 - GCA 3, Seymour 6 - Aiden McCarley pitched for five innings giving up four earned runs. He also was 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI. Alex Blackburn was 1-for-3 at the plate with a homerun and two RBIs.

The Rams will look to get back on the winning side in the Smoky Mountain Classic at Pigeon Forge High School this weekend.

The Rams have started the 2021 season with a 4-2-1 record.
The baseball Rams traveled to Florida over Spring Break to participate in the Panama City Invitational hosted by Bay High School. The Rams came home with two wins over host Bay High, a loss to Bozeman High and a tie with Harmony High.
The team wasted no time entering district play - falling at home on Monday to The King's Academy but bouncing back for a road win on Tuesday to even the series.
After a rainout on Thursday, the Rams traveled to Anderson County on Friday night where they clinched their 4th win of the season.
