The middle school's Varsity and JV teams are well into their season.
Below are the scores from their games to date:
August 26: GCA 5, Concord 7; JV won 10-0
August 23: GCA 3, Carter 5; JV won 7-2
August 21 Tournament: GCA beat Oak Ridge 5-3 while suffering losses to Carter 1-14, Carpenters 2-5, and Warren East 1-11
August 19: GCA 10, Seymour 8; JV won 6-2
August 12: GCA 1, Karns 9; JV won 9-5
August 10: GCA 1, Carter 9; JV won 5-1
August 5: GCA 2, Clinton 11; JV won 5-4
August 2: GCA 6, Catholic 3; JV won 8-6
The MS Varsity team is now 3-8 on the season while the MS JV team is 7-0!

Congratulations to the GCA MS Girls Softball Team! They played in the end of season tournament and made it to the championship game. Although they lost in an extra inning by one run, the team finished 2nd place out of 19 talented middle school teams!

The Lady Rams softball team has wrapped up their regular season and began tournament play on Tuesday.
The JV team began tournament action last week and fell to Halls on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the varsity won over Bearden 9-0. Carley Campbell pitched the shutout. Ava Malone, Kate Mullins, Hannah Hodges, Marlea Finstad each had two hits. Hodges had three RBIs while Finstad had two.
The Varsity and JV hosted Karns on Monday in the last regular season games of the season. Results are unavailable.
The Varsity tournament began on Tuesday night. Grace picked up wins over Anderson County and Sevier County. They will face Gibbs at 8:00AM Saturday morning. Games are being played at GCA, Karns, CAK and Hardin Valley.

The softball team honored their 8th graders on Thursday night.
The Varsity beat Hardin Valley 4-1. 8th graders Carley Campbell, Hannah Hodges, Kate Mullins, Kaelyn Jackson, Izzie Tapp Milligan-Brooke Million all contributed to the win.

The JV and Varsity teams played host to Seymour on Tuesday evening.
In the Varsity game, the Lady Rams beat Seymour 9-2. Hannah Hodges led the way with 2 hits and 2 RBIs. On the mound, Brooke Million picked up the win & Carley Campbell the save.
In the JV game, the Lady Rams came from behind to end in a 6-6 tie. Rikki Koontz had 3 RBIs while Ava Malone had 2 RBIs.
The teams return to action on Thursday night at home against Hardin Valley.
