The middle school boys continue to improve on each course.
Last week was a busy week for Grace Rams cross country. The middle school boys were really busy this week with two events.
On Tuesday, the boys ran the 2 mile course at Leisure Pools and Christian Baker led the team with a time of 17:17.
On Saturday, the boys traveled to Bristol, Tennessee to run in the 28th annual Bristol Cross. The travel to upper East Tennessee proved worthwhile as all 3 Ram runners posted new best times on the toughest course they have faced this year. Christian Baker led the team with a new PR of 15:49 followed by Benjamin Christopher with his new PR of 18:44 and Jackson Jarnigan with a 20:53 PR. The middle school boys team really stepped up in the hot and humid conditions on Saturday and posted the best performances of the week for GCA!

The middle school team ran at a very tough course on Tuesday.
The middle school boys cross country team ran at Melton Hill Park in Knoxville on Tuesday. The 2-mile race saw the boys tackle the Baby Beast and the Beast - both are nasty hills at Melton Hill Park. This race also finishes on an uphill climb to the finish line that ensures you have nothing left at the end. Incredibly, all 3 boys saw yet another personal best for this season. Christian Baker led the boys with a 16:21, Benjamin Christopher came in with 19:46, and Jackson Jarnigan finished with a 22:46. This was a very tough race course and to get a new PR on this one was awesome!
