GCA was represented by three elementary runners at the Elementary State Cross Country Meet on Saturday.
Congratulations to Piper Young, Zach Ellison and Austin McAndrews for qualifying for the Varsity Elementary State Cross Country Meet that was held at Victor Ash Park this past Saturday.
Piper had her best time of the season running the mile in 7:09. Piper finished 120th overall at the State Meet as she competed with 300 of the best in Tennessee.
Austin McAndrews finished 135th overall with a time of 6:34 and Zach Ellison finished 162nd in a time of 6:43. The boys also ran against 300 of the best in Tennessee.
All 3 runners did a great job representing GCA at the State Meet. Congratuations Piper, Austin and Zach!

The lower school runners are still at work and continue to work hard and compete in local races.
Last week was a busy week for Grace Rams cross country. On Monday, our lower school team ran the one mile course at Leisure Pools in Knoxville. The course was tough and Piper Young led our girls team with a time of 8:40 and Austin McAndrews led the boys with a time of 7:08.

The elementary cross country team competed on tough course this week.
The lower school cross country teams ran at Melton Hill Park in Knoxville on Monday. The 1-Mile course was tough. Temperatures were HOT and a hill nicknamed the BABY BEAST was hungry. The girls ran hard. Piper Young led GCA with a 9:16. The lower school boys race was a bit cooler but still tough. Austin McAndrews led the team with a time of 7:37.

The elementary cross country runners competed in Sevierville on Monday.
GCA Lower School Cross Country teams ran yesterday at the First Baptist of Sevierville Event Complex. The Girls Team was led by Piper Young who had a new best time of 7:49. The Boys Team was led by Austin McAndrews with a time of 6:48. Kayden Pless blasted his previous best time by almost 2 minutes posting a 7:23. Even more exciting news, the Boys Team placed 11th overall with 31 teams competing.
