We are so proud of our GCA Golf Teams and all they’ve accomplished this season!
Our JV boys and girls teams, made up entirely of 3rd–5th graders, were the youngest teams competing in the East Tennessee Youth Golf Association—and they held their own! Both teams earned 2nd place in their District Championships. At the Regional level, Luke Smithey, Ella Wallace, and Lyla Crisp advanced to the Championship Tournament as individuals.
Ella Wallace finished T-5 overall, advancing to a thrilling playoff that went through two extra holes and a chip-off to determine final placement. She narrowly missed the top 5 by just one foot—an incredible performance!
Lyla Crisp recorded her personal best 18-hole score, a huge milestone in her golf journey.
Our Varsity teams competed in the Tennessee Middle School Golf Association and had an outstanding season. Abigail Rothfuss and Nate Saullo advanced as individuals to the Regional Championship, where both qualified for the State Championship Tournament!
At Regionals, Abigail earned the 2nd lowest score overall and was named to the All-Sectional Team.
At State, Nate Saullo finished 18th out of 33, and Abigail Rothfuss placed 11th out of 20, proudly representing GCA Golf.
We are incredibly proud of all our student athletes for their hard work, growth, and sportsmanship throughout the season. Way to low GCA!
The Grace Christian Academy women’s and men’s varsity golf teams both had record-breaking seasons for the program.
Help us congratulate seasoned GCA golfer Jacob Rose who is representing Grace and Tennessee in the Junior PGA Championship in Maryland!
