Winterim, an educational distinctive of Grace Christian Academy, takes students beyond traditional classroom study into unique learning experiences. For one week in March, all high school students participate in hands-on learning activities not generally available within the school curriculum. The school personnel work with students on the basis of career or personal interests to choose meaningful Winterim experiences. Opportunities include internships, travel, community service, missions, or concentrated study in new areas taught by GCA faculty. Winterim experiences complement classroom learning by connecting it to practice in the real world. Active involvement in the community and workplace maximizes student learning and creates rich opportunities for students to impact their culture for Christ.
